HUD Rejects SBA Loan Payoff Hardship criteria requested by the Louisiana OCD-DRU agency.

HUD sent a strong message to the Louisiana Governor, DOA and OCD-DRU regarding the poorly crafted hardship criteria that the state claimed would help nearly 4,227 families that make over 120 percent AMI pay off or reduce their SBA Loan and Housing debt.

SBA DOB refund checks not in jeopardy says Governor Edwards to public 7-13-2018. APA 12 changes that promise.

Governor Edwards on July 13, 2018 gave a promise after giving 65 of all eligible flood victims enrolled in the Louisiana Restore Program part of a 110 million program increase. He promised your SBA DOB loans would not be jeopardized.

Louisiana Governor Edwards disaster recovery team pulls grant from post-disaster widow

In Louisiana a married couple of 22 years lost their grant when the husband died post-disaster and the widow was not listed as homeowner at the time of the disaster. Louisiana Law allows inheritance to be handled as a gift and not community property.
