Current project is insulation installation. 

Required skills and tasks. 

  • Setup ladders, ramps, jacks, lift scaffolding
  • Ladder climbing and working over head.
  • Load and unload construction materials
  • Ability to measure accurately the first time.
  • Must be able to cut different materials (insulation) using scissors and knife without ripping materials. 
  • Must be able to insert insulation in cavity without compressing the insulation, avoiding wall nail injuries.
  • Must be able to identify possible air leaks and seal them using expanding and non-expanding foam sealers. 

You should be aware of personal protective equipment (PPE) by now, but as a reminder. 

  • Safety glasses
  • Long sleeve shirts
  • Full length pants (no cutoffs for insulation)
  • Work boots or shoes
  • Work Gloves

Basic tools are expected and should include.

  • Tool belt with pouch
  • large scissors
  • Razor knife with extra blades
  • measuring tape
  • square (Triangular or L type)
  • Pencils, pens, markers
  • headlamp or flashlight

Education: GED / High School / Vocational School
